As a proud small-town Midwesterner, she loves cheese, playing cards, and spending time with her fiancé and large extended family. Kim is a social butterfly who enjoys meeting new people and building relationships. As a devoted dog mom to two adorable pups, Stella and Ryker, her vibrant energy and expertise are a perfect fit for our team. We invite you to learn more about Kim and what brought her to the foodservice world.
Tell us a little bit about your background. What has your journey looked like so far?
I’ve been in marketing for almost 12 years, gaining extensive experience in the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry. Now, I’m thrilled to dive into the foodservice and manufacturing industries and learn all about it. I’ve worn many hats throughout my career, from creating proposals to social media campaigns, but I’m most excited to have the opportunity to work closely with clients, strategizing to achieve their goals and watching them succeed.
How did you land at TMC Digital Media?
I was lucky enough to have previously worked with Jessie, a TMC Client Success Manager. When TMC had an open opportunity, she thought of me and reached out to see if I was interested. With my background in marketing, my love for good food, and my desire for growth, TMC just seemed like a perfect fit. I’m excited to be here and learn all the TMC ways.
You're joining our team from Wisconsin. What are some things in your area you like to do? Any great restaurants you'd recommend?
My fiancé and I love trying out new restaurants and going to supper clubs. We can’t say no to a good Friday Fish Fry or a delicious Old Fashioned. We also love to go fishing, whether it be in our kayaks in the summer or in the shanty on the ice in the winter. Our favorite restaurant is an authentic German supper club called Dorf Haus. You can’t beat their fritters on Friday nights!
Tell us where you see yourself in five years. Just kidding. No hogwash questions like that here. What do you like to eat and drink?
Give me all the caffeine and carbs! I drink creamer with a splash of coffee in the morning and a Diet Coke in the afternoon. If I’m celebrating, I’ll enjoy a beer or two (I am from Wisconsin). I could live on cheese, especially macaroni and cheese or mashed potatoes. I will never turn down a good Italian restaurant.
What are some of your favorite things to do outside of work?
Since we all live very close together, we enjoy spending time with our extended families. When we are all together, we have seven crazy dogs running around. We also enjoy Badger football games (and tailgating 😉), riding UTVs, fishing, kayaking, campfires, and cards.
What show are you binging right now?
My fiancé and I enjoy a wide variety of shows, especially anything produced or directed by Taylor Sheridan. Some of our favorites include Yellowstone, 1883, 1923, Mayor of Kingstown, Law & Order SVU, Chicago Med/Fire/PD, Peaky Blinders, and The Bear. When he’s not around, I like to slip in the political dramas and the chick flicks.
If you could have dinner with any three people, dead or alive, who would they be and why?
Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Ryan Reynolds, and my Grandma. Ruth because she was so incredibly smart that I’d feel lucky just to be in the same room as her. I would soak up all the experience and wisdom I could. Ryan, because I imagine I wouldn’t be able to stop laughing. Honestly, who wouldn’t want to have dinner with him?! My Grandma because she is no longer with us, and I miss her dearly. She was an amazing woman, and if I had the opportunity to be with her again, I would take it in a heartbeat.
